Which built-in dishwasher fits in my kitchen?

    • Step 1 - Measure the width: measure from one side of the niche to the other and write it down
    • Step 2 - Measure the height: measure from the bottom to the top of the niche and write it down
    • Step 3 - Measure the depth: measure from the front edge to the back wall and write it down
    • Step 4 - Check the level: use a spirit level to check that the bottom of the niche is level
    • Step 5 - Double check: measure everything again to be sure that your new dishwasher will fit

How do you determine the dimensions for your built-in dishwasher?

A gray rectangular container with a gray top and bottom is next to a red and white striped straw.

    Door-to-door system

With the door-on-door system, the front panel of your kitchen is directly attached to the dishwasher door. Both doors move as if they were one door. The front panel does not move separately from the dishwasher door when you open it.
An advantage of this system is that you only need one hinge, which makes installation relatively easy.

A gray dishwasher is shown with its door slightly ajar, revealing a red interior trim against a white background.

    Sliding door system

The sliding door system for your built-in dishwasher works with the help of so-called guides. When you open the door of your built-in dishwasher, the front panel moves along these guides. The door and the panel are therefore not directly attached to each other, but move simultaneously with each other.
An advantage of this system is that it is widely used and can therefore be installed in almost any kitchen.
