JBL headphones are wireless headsets that you can connect to various devices, such as your phone and laptop. This allows you to enjoy your favourite music, listen to your favourite podcasts, or make calls for hours without the hassle of cables. In this article, we explain how to pair your JBL headphones with different devices.

To pair your JBL headphones with your phone, make sure the Bluetooth function on your phone is switched on. You can do this by going to your phone’s settings and tapping on Bluetooth. Next, switch on your JBL headphones and hold down the power button until you hear a sound or see a blue light flashing. Your headphones are now in pairing mode. Then, on your phone, search for available Bluetooth devices and select the name of your JBL headphones. You should now hear a confirmation sound or see a green light.

My JBL headphones won’t pair

If you’re unable to pair your JBL headphones with a device, here are a few things you can try to resolve the issue:

  • Check that the battery of your wireless headphones is sufficiently charged. If the battery is nearly empty, it can disrupt the Bluetooth connection.
  • Reset your headphones. You can do this by pressing both volume buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds. You’ll hear a beep or see the lights flash in different colours. You can then set the headphones back to pairing mode and try connecting again.
  • Check that there are no other Bluetooth devices nearby that could interfere with your connection. Switch these devices off or move them out of range of the JBL headphones you wish to pair.

Can you pair JBL headphones with a TV?

It’s possible to pair JBL headphones with a TV. How you do this depends on the type of TV you have, as not all TVs have built-in Bluetooth. If your TV does, you can follow more or less the same steps as when pairing with a laptop: enable Bluetooth on the TV, put your JBL headphones in pairing mode, and connect the devices.

If your TV doesn’t have Bluetooth or you’re unable to pair, you can use a Bluetooth transmitter to connect your JBL headphones to the TV. This is a small device that you plug into the TV’s audio output, and it will wirelessly transmit the TV’s sound to your headphones.
