A relatively compact camera, but with lots of zoom. The Kodak AZ425 Pixpro Astro has a whopping 42 times optical zoom. Starting at a wide angle of 24 mm small-frame equivalent, you have a range you can get by with indoors. But by using the zoom outdoors, you can get subjects enormously close. The maximum telephoto range of 1008 mm is extremely useful if you want to take photos in places where you can't reach yourself. And if that is not enough, there is a digital zoom to get objects 4 times closer. Furthermore, stabilization prevents motion blur and this camera includes a movie function. Use the many pre-programmed functions to easily take photos or switch to the manual functions if you want to change your own settings.
