Return electrical appliances

You can easily and free of charge return your old (broken) device when you buy a new device. This can be done in a number of ways, depending on the size of the device and your personal preference:

  • You give it to the delivery person when delivering your new product.
  • You make an appointment to have it picked up by our carrier.
  • You deliver it yourself to a DHL point.
  • You drop it off at one of our stores.

Give a small appliance to the delivery person

Is it a small appliance, such as a shaver or toaster? Then you can easily and free of charge give your old, broken appliance to the DHL delivery person when delivering your new product. To do this, follow these steps:

Giving a large appliance to the delivery person

Do you have a large appliance, such as a broken refrigerator or washing machine, that you want to give away? This can be done easily and free of charge when your new product is delivered. There are 2 options:

  1. Did you choose an additional service with your order, such as installation or placement and connection? Then the delivery person will take your old appliance from the place where the new one is being placed.
  2. Did you choose a standard delivery? Then the delivery person will take your old appliance from the first lockable front door at your home.

The following conditions apply to giving away a large appliance:

  • Your old appliance is the same as the new one. For example: when you order a new washing machine, you can only give away your old washing machine.
  • The old appliance must be clean, dry and disconnected.

Have your old, large appliance collected

Haven't bought a new appliance yet, but would you like to have your old appliance collected? We would be happy to work with you to find a suitable way to dispose of your old product in an environmentally friendly way. Check out our customer service page for contact options.

Return your old, small device yourself via DHL

You can also return your old product yourself to a DHL point. To do this, follow these steps:

  • Pack the old product in a box.
  • Create a shipping label via DHL. You can do this via this link: https://mydhl.express.dhl/nl/nl/shipment.html#/#address-details
  • Fill in the following details:
    MediaMarkt.nl E-Waste
    Antwoordnummer 2016
    2130 RH Hoofddorp
  • Fill in your own details.
  • When asked 'Have the package picked up?', select 'No, I will bring it to DHL myself'.
  • Print out the shipping label and stick it on the box.
  • Bring the package to a DHL point.

Return your old device to MediaMarkt yourself

You can also return your old product to a MediaMarkt store near you. You will need to make an appointment for this. Read more about safe shopping at MediaMarkt here.
