The WMF Première cutlery has various functions that make the cutlery so unique: the octagonal handle of the knife, the elaborately worked bolster, the decorative line design along the side, and the leaf motif at the end of the handle. Designed by Fred Danner, the design was inspired by the functional shapes characteristic of the Biedermeier period.

The cutlery is extremely durable, dimensionally stable, hygienic, acid-resistant, indestructible, and very resistant to signs of wear thanks to the patented Cromargan Protect® 18/0 stainless steel. The high-quality knives with inserted blade (called hollow handle) guarantee long-lasting sharpness.
