This Nedis gateway connects directly to your Wi-Fi, so no Ethernet cable is required. Simply install it in your Nedis SmartLife application and you can connect up to 50 Nedis Zigbee products via one gateway. Furthermore, you have access to Nedis SmartLife Bluetooth products (such as the LED strip, water valve, or key finder) from anywhere, as long as the product is within the Bluetooth range of this gateway. Each connected product is displayed in the SmartLife application and can be included in automations as if it were directly connected to Wi-Fi. (Note: If you are using multiple Bluetooth products that do not support Bluetooth Mesh, there may be a slight delay, as there can only be 2 Bluetooth connections simultaneously.) ZigBee is an alternative protocol to Wi-Fi that offers significantly lower power consumption. This allows small wireless sensors to operate for up to several years on a single battery.
