VIOFO A229 Pro 3CH 4K Wifi GPS Dashcam

The Viofo A229 3CH Pro 4K Wifi GPS is the latest model in the popular and reliable A229 series with no less than three cameras. The Viofo A229 Pro 3CH 4K can monitor the road in front and behind and film the driver and passengers with the interior camera. With the built-in 5.0MP Sony Starvis 2 image sensor, the A229 delivers razor-sharp images, both at the front, rear, and inside the car.

Dual 4K + Quad HD recordings

The Viofo A229 Pro 3CH 4K Wifi GPS is equipped with three cameras, allowing recording in front, rear, and inside the car. The Viofo A229 Pro 3CH 4K (2K) films at 4K (2K) resolution at the front and with QuadHD (2K) at the rear and interior. These cameras are connected to the front camera with a long supplied cable of 6 meters. The images from the rear camera are stored separately on the SD card. On the 2.4-inch HD LCD screen, the rear camera is displayed via PiP (Picture in Picture) on one-quarter of the screen.

Dual-Band Wifi

The Viofo A229 Pro 3CH 4K Wifi GPS is equipped with dual-band Wifi (5 Ghz), ensuring very fast file transfer and a highly reliable network. Via the Viofo App, images can be viewed and downloaded directly on any iOS and Android phone and tablet via Wifi.

3x SONY Starvis sensor

The Viofo A229 Pro 3CH 4K Wifi GPS films in 4K + QuadHD (2K) image quality. Thanks to the super-fast Novatek 96660 chip in combination with the two SONY sensors, all details are clearly visible, even in the dark.

Optional extended rear camera (waterproof)

Optionally, the 14.5-meter long RWC200 waterproof rear camera is available (see accessories). This 2K rear camera can be used for longer vehicles without a rear window, such as panel vans or campers. Due to its IP67 rating, the RWC200 can be mounted outdoors without any problems.

Automatic parking mode

The Viofo A229 Plus 4K Wifi is equipped with an automatic parking mode with motion detection or Time Lapse. With motion detection, the camera is on standby and starts a 30-second recording when motion is detected. With Time Lapse, the camera continuously records a 1fps video that can later be played back (accelerated) as a 30fps video. This way, evidence is always available if the car is damaged while parked.

Please note : The automatic parking mode only works when the dashcam is used with the Viofo HK4 permanent power supply (see accessories). When connected, the camera will automatically switch to parking mode when the car's ignition is turned off and return to normal recording when the car is started.

Including CPL filter

With the included CPL filter, optimal protection and image quality are guaranteed under sunny conditions. The CPL filter acts like a polarized sunglasses for the eyes for the dashcam. Harmful UV radiation is filtered out and annoying reflections are eliminated. This improves the image quality and durability of the camera. The CPL-300 filter is optionally available for the rear camera.

Bluetooth SOS button (optional)

With the convenient optional Viofo A229 Plus 4K Wifi Bluetooth SOS button, a manual SOS recording can be started on the Viofo A229 Pro 3CH 4K Wifi GPS with a single press of a button. The SOS button can be easily connected to the Viofo A229 Pro 3CH 4K Wifi GPS by turning on the dashcam and holding the button down for 3 seconds. The blue indicator LED on the button will light up blue if the connection is successfully established. The SOS button can be mounted anywhere in the vehicle using the included adhesive pad.

GPS module

The Viofo A229 Pro 3CH 4K Wifi GPS comes standard with a GPS module. The GPS can display the current speed in the image. This can be crucial evidence in the event of an incident. Furthermore, the GPS records the location of where the dashcam has filmed. The recorded route can therefore be viewed via the software on the PC.

2.4 inch HD LCD screen

This Viofo A229 Pro 3CH 4K Wifi GPS dashcam has a 2.4-inch HD LCD screen. The live images are displayed on the screen, and the menu can be easily operated. The built-in screensaver automatically turns off the LCD screen after a set number of minutes, if desired, so it does not distract the driver.

140˚ + 160˚+ 160˚ wideview lens

With the 140˚ + 160˚ + 160˚ wideview 'fish eye' lens, the Viofo A229 Pro 3CH 4K Wifi GPS has a wide range and records almost everything in its surroundings.

1.6 aperture 7G lens

With a 1.6 aperture at the front and an 1.8 aperture at the rear, combined with a 7G lens, a lot of light is captured, ensuring very good image quality both day and night.

HDR

Thanks to HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology, the camera is capable of generating sharp images in very high and very low light intensities. This allows the camera to record razor-sharp images both during the day with ample light and at night with low light.

WDR

The Viofo A229 Pro 3CH 4K Wifi GPS is equipped with WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) hardware. This allows the dashcam to automatically adjust the light intensity depending on the environment. WDR thus guarantees the best image quality under varying conditions.

Auto start

The Viofo A229 Pro 3CH 4K Wifi GPS dashcam automatically starts recording when the car is started. You don't have to worry about it once it's installed in the car. This requires it to be connected to the car's power supply.

G-sensor

Thanks to the built-in G-sensor, the Viofo A229 Pro 3CH 4K Wifi GPS dashcam detects when you've been in an accident. In case of an impact, recordings are automatically secured and saved so they are not lost. They cannot be overwritten or deleted via the dashcam.

AV output

Via the AV output, the dashcam's image can be displayed on an external monitor, such as the car's built-in navigation system. An AV cable is required to transfer the images.

Super capacitor battery

The Viofo A229 Pro 3CH 4K Wifi GPS is equipped with a super capacitor battery. This battery ensures that the camera shuts down properly after the power is lost. Super capacitor batteries are specially developed for use in dashcams because they are more durable than regular Polymer Li-ion batteries and also more resistant to high and low temperatures.

Built-in microphone

The built-in microphone in this dashcam also records sound in and around the car. The microphone can be turned off if desired.
