The Viofo A229 1CH Pro 4K Wifi GPS is the latest model in the popular and reliable A229 series. With this Pro version, Viofo has updated both the design and specifications. The Viofo A229 Pro 1CH 4K keeps a sharp eye on everything at the front of the car. With the built-in Sony Starvis 2 image sensor, it delivers razor-sharp images in all conditions.

Dual-Band Wifi

The Viofo A229 Pro 1CH 4K Wifi GPS is equipped with dual-band Wifi (5 GHz), ensuring very fast file transfer and a highly reliable network. Via the Viofo App, images can be viewed and downloaded directly on any iOS and Android phone and tablet via Wifi.

SONY Starvis sensor

The Viofo A229 Pro 1CH 4K Wifi GPS films in 4K quality. Thanks to the super-fast Novatek 96660 chip in combination with the two SONY sensors, all details are clearly visible, even in the dark.

Automatic parking mode

The Viofo A229 Plus 4K Wifi is equipped with an automatic parking mode with motion detection or Time Lapse. With motion detection, the camera is on standby and starts a 30-second recording when motion is detected. With Time Lapse, the camera continuously records a 1fps video that can later be played back as a 30fps video (sped up). This way, evidence is always available if the car is damaged while parked.

Please note: The automatic parking mode only works if the dashcam is used with the Viofo HK4 permanent power supply (see accessories). When connected, the camera will automatically switch to parking mode when the car's ignition is turned off and switch back to normal recording when the car is started.

Including CPL filter

The included CPL filter guarantees optimal protection and image quality in sunny conditions. The CPL filter acts as a polarizing sunglasses for the dashcam. Harmful UV radiation is filtered out and annoying reflections are eliminated. This improves the image quality and durability of the camera.

Bluetooth SOS button (optional)

With the convenient optional Viofo A229 Plus 4K Wifi Bluetooth SOS button, a manual SOS recording can be started on the Viofo A229 Pro 1CH 4K Wifi GPS with a single press of a button. The SOS button can easily be connected to the Viofo A229 Pro 1CH 4K Wifi GPS by turning on the dashcam and holding the button for 3 seconds. The blue indicator LED on the button will light up blue if the connection is successfully established. The SOS button can be mounted anywhere in the vehicle using the included adhesive sticker.

GPS module

The Viofo A229 Pro 1CH 4K Wifi GPS comes standard with a GPS module. The GPS allows the current speed to be displayed on the screen. This can be crucial evidence in the event of an incident. Furthermore, the GPS records the location where the dashcam has filmed. The software on the PC can then be used to view the route taken.

2.4 inch HD LCD screen

This Viofo A229 Pro 1CH 4K Wifi GPS dashcam has a 2.4-inch HD LCD screen. Live images are displayed on the screen, and the menu can be easily operated. The built-in screensaver automatically turns off the LCD screen after a set number of minutes if desired, so it does not distract the driver.

140˚ wideview lens

With its 140˚ wideview 'fish eye' lens, the Viofo A229 Pro 1CH 4K Wifi GPS has a wide range and records the front of the car.

1.6 aperture 7G lens

The 1.6 aperture at the front, combined with a 7G lens, captures a lot of light, ensuring excellent image quality both day and night.

HDR

Thanks to HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology, the camera is capable of generating sharp images in very high and very low light intensities. This allows the camera to record razor-sharp images both during the day with ample light and at night with little light.

WDR

The Viofo A229 Pro 1CH 4K Wifi GPS is equipped with WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) hardware. This allows the dashcam to automatically adjust the light intensity depending on the environment. WDR thus guarantees the best image quality under varying conditions.

Auto start

The Viofo A229 Pro 1CH 4K Wifi GPS dashcam automatically starts recording when the car is started. You don't have to worry about it once it's installed in the car. This requires it to be connected to the car's power supply.

G-sensor

The built-in G-sensor allows the Viofo A229 Pro 1CH 4K Wifi GPS dashcam to detect when you have been in an accident. In case of an impact, footage is automatically secured and saved so it won't be lost. It cannot be overwritten or deleted via the dashcam.

AV output

The AV output allows the dashcam's image to be displayed on an external monitor, such as the car's built-in navigation system. An AV cable is required to transfer the images.

Super capacitor battery

The Viofo A229 Pro 1CH 4K Wifi GPS is equipped with a super capacitor battery. This battery ensures that the camera can shut down properly after power loss. Super capacitor batteries are specifically developed for use in dashcams because they are more durable than regular Polymer Li-ion batteries and are also more resistant to high and low temperatures.

Built-in microphone

The built-in microphone in this dashcam also records sound inside and around the car. The microphone can be turned off if desired.
