Of course, you should have the bike checked occasionally for wear and tear on the wearing parts, such as tires, brake pads, sprockets, and chain. A thorough cleaning from time to time (but not with a high-pressure washer!) will extend its lifespan, as will lubricating the moving parts every two or three months. You can do this yourself, or have it done by a bicycle mechanic. A pleasant bike ride. Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged for the trip you have in mind. Are the tires properly inflated? Keep in mind that the manufacturer's stated range is calculated under the most favorable conditions: low rider weight, beautiful weather, lightest support level, and full pedaling by the rider.
