**With the Villette le Gros, you're really getting a cool bike. **
The 20-inch wheels with 4-inch thick tires have no trouble with sand, pebbles, snow, or tram tracks. This fabike can be used anywhere, for rides to work, on vacation, or to stand out when going out. The 13 Ah battery is placed behind the seat tube of the sturdy aluminum folding frame, ensuring ideal weight distribution. The MXUS rear wheel motor delivers approximately 45 Nm of torque. Fortunately, the mechanical disc brakes provide more than enough stopping power to slow down the e-bike quickly. LED lighting on batteries, reflectors in the pedals, and in the spokes ensure good visibility.
Admittedly, this bike isn't really compact, not even when folded. But it fits well in a camper with ample garage space. And once you've reached your destination, you can count on having almost unlimited possibilities to explore the surroundings. On public roads, it moves smoothly from village to town. Can you go through a shortcut? With this fatbike, definitely! Gravel, sand, or cobblestones are no problem for the 10 cm wide tires and the powerful motor. You can also easily climb a hill; choose a low gear, a little more pedal assistance, and pedal effortlessly to the top. If your battery suddenly appears to be almost empty, know that the bike is also easy to ride without assistance, but also keep in mind that a fatbike has wide tires, which cause much more rolling resistance than a regular bike. It is therefore advisable to plan your routes carefully if you don't want to have a tough ride at the end of the day. But, honestly, this e-bike is mainly for short trips, a quick ride to the beach club, or picking up a few groceries nearby. A Fatbike is for Fun!
**Villette bikes: ride without worries.**
Your Villette e-bike has been assembled with great care by skilled craftsmen. The parts used are of impeccable quality to guarantee long and carefree use. You can rely on your Villette bike. Naturally, you should have the bike checked occasionally for wear and tear on the wearing parts, such as tires, brake pads, sprockets, and chain. A thorough cleaning from time to time (but not with a high-pressure washer!) will extend its lifespan, as will lubricating the moving parts every two or three months. You can do this yourself or have it done by a bike shop.
**A pleasant bike ride.**
Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged for the ride you have in mind. Are the tires properly inflated? Keep in mind that the manufacturer's stated range is calculated under the most favorable conditions: low rider weight, beautiful weather, lightest support level, and full rider pedaling. In practice, the stated range will almost never be achieved. Poor road surface, low tire pressure, headwinds, and choosing a higher level of support are all factors that reduce the range. If the battery runs out before you reach the end of your trip, know that the bike also rides well without support, and that the motor's resistance is negligible when it is switched off.
Ready to go? Nothing stands in the way of a beautiful ride. If you want to stop for a visit to a shop or catering establishment along the way, no problem! Unfold it as standard and lock the bike (the bike is supplied without a lock; we recommend purchasing an ART-approved lock), possibly remove the battery if that gives a more secure feeling, and take your rest. You can often charge the battery at catering establishments. So, for longer rides, also bring the charger just in case.
**The battery, maintenance, and storage.**
The battery of your Villette e-bike is an important part of the electrical system. When purchased, the battery will usually be half full. You must fully charge the battery before first use. Ride the battery (in one or more trips, it doesn't matter) until the battery indicator on the display starts flashing. Then charge the battery fully again. Repeat this cycle at least 4 times. This way, the battery will be optimally activated and the full battery capacity can be used. After these 4 cycles of fully charging and riding almost completely empty, you can also charge the battery in between, when necessary. This will no longer affect its lifespan.
