The Villette Le Bonheur is an electric ladies' bike with a low step-through, 7 gears, and 28-inch wheels. A very smoothly riding bike thanks to the rear wheel motor, which provides natural support. Where the chain moves the wheel, the motor provides that extra push. You have a choice of 7 gears thanks to the Shimano Altus derailleur and 5 support levels. You can easily select these using the LCD display on the handlebars. This comfortable bike is suitable for people from 160 to 185 cm tall, thanks to the long seat post and adjustable handlebars. Specifications at a glance: Shimano Altus 7-speed derailleur MXUS rear wheel motor 250 W, 36 V 13 Ah, 36V, 468 Wh battery, removable Aluminum frame LCD display, 5 support modes 28-inch double-walled rims Chain guard V-brakes front and rear Kickstand Villette bikes: ride without worries. Your Villette e-bike has been assembled with great care by skilled professionals. The parts used are of impeccable quality to guarantee long and carefree use. You can rely on your Villette bike. Naturally, you should have the bike checked occasionally for wear and tear on consumable parts such as tires, brake pads, sprockets, and chain. A thorough cleaning from time to time (but not with a high-pressure washer!) will extend its lifespan, as will lubricating the moving parts every two or three months. You can do this yourself or have it done by a bike mechanic. A pleasant bike ride. Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged for the ride you have in mind. Are the tires properly inflated? Keep in mind that the manufacturer's stated range is calculated under the most favorable conditions: low rider weight, beautiful weather, lightest support mode, and full pedaling by the rider. In practice, the stated range will almost never be achieved. Poor road surfaces, low tire pressure, headwinds, and selecting higher support are all factors that reduce the range. If the battery runs out before you reach your destination, know that the bike rides perfectly well without support, and that the motor's resistance is negligible when it is switched off. Ready to go? Nothing stands in the way of a beautiful ride. If you want to stop for a visit to a shop or catering establishment along the way, no problem! Fold out the kickstand and lock the bike (the bike is supplied without a lock; we recommend purchasing an ART-approved lock), possibly remove the battery if that gives you more peace of mind, and take a break. You can often recharge the battery at catering establishments. So, for longer rides, take the charger with you just in case. The battery, maintenance, and storage. The battery of your Villette e-bike is an important part of the electrical system. When purchased, the battery will usually be half full. You must fully charge the battery before first use. Ride the battery (in one or more trips, it doesn't matter) until the battery indicator on the display starts flashing. Then, fully recharge the battery. Repeat this cycle at least 4 times. This way, the battery will be optimally activated and its full capacity can be used. After these 4 cycles of fully charging and riding almost completely empty, you can also start charging the battery in between, when necessary. This will no longer affect its lifespan. You can charge the battery on or off the bike. Charging at room temperature in a dry environment is preferred. At low and high temperatures, simply less current can be absorbed by the cells, which reduces the range. If you do not use the battery for a few weeks? Remove it from the bike and store it at room temperature. Ensure that the battery is fully charged when stored. If you do not use the battery for several months, place it on the charger every 2 months. This prevents deep discharge, which would render the battery unusable. The battery is a splash-proof housing full of electrical cells. Never immerse the battery in water, and never use a high-pressure washer to clean it! If you transport the e-bike on a bike rack on your car, remove the battery from the bike and place it inside the car. This not only saves weight on the rack but also prevents damage to the battery in a rain shower. At 100 km/h, a mild rain shower also acts like a high-pressure washer.
