Software-Defined Networking (SDN) with Cloud Access
The Omada SDN (Software Defined Networking) platform integrates network devices such as access points, switches, and gateways, offering 100% centralized cloud management. Omada creates a highly scalable network that can be controlled via a single interface. Both wired and wireless connections are possible, making it ideal for use in hospitality, education, retail, offices, etc.
Advanced L3 Features
Sufficient L2+ and L3 features are supported to build a highly scalable and robust network, making it a reliable and efficient solution for enterprises, campuses, and internet service providers.
Secure Network
Security features include IP-MAC-Port-VID Binding, Port Security, Storm Control, and DHCP Snooping to protect the network against various types of attacks. An integrated list of common DoS attacks is available, making it easier than ever to prevent them. Furthermore, Access Control Lists (ACL, L2 to L4) restrict access to sensitive network resources by rejecting packets based on MAC address, IP address, TCP/UDP port, or VLAN ID. User network access can be managed via 802.1X authentication, which works with a RADIUS/Tacacs+ server, granting users access only if they provide valid credentials.
Enterprise-Level Management Features
The full range of L2+ features is supported, including 802.1Q VLAN, Port Mirroring, STP/RSTP/MSTP, Link Aggregation Control Protocol, and 802.3x Flow Control. Advanced IGMP Snooping ensures the switch forwards multicast streams only to authorized users, while IGMP Throttling & Filtering limits each user to a specific port level to prevent unauthorized access to multicasting. Static routing is a simple way to segment the network and route internal traffic through the switch for improved efficiency.
Advanced QoS
Voice and video applications can be prioritized based on IP address, MAC address, TCP port number, UDP port number, etc. Using QoS (Quality of Service), voice and video applications run smoothly even with limited bandwidth.
ISP Features
sFlow, QinQ, L2PT PPPoE ID Insertion, and IGMP authentication are available. These features are designed with service providers in mind. 802.3ah OAM and Device Link Detection Protocol (DLDP) provide an easy way to monitor Ethernet links and troubleshoot issues.
IPv6 Support
Various IPv6 features are supported, including IPv4/IPv6 Dual Stacking, MLD Snooping, IPv6 ACL, DHCPv6 Snooping, IPv6 Interface, Path Maximum Transmission Unit (PMTU) Discovery, and IPv6 Neighbor Discovery, ensuring the network is ready for the Next Generation Network (NGN) without requiring replacement of network equipment.
