France, 1944 - As part of a covert US Rangers operation to weaken the Atlantic Wall forts along the coast of Brittany, elite gunner Karl Fairburne comes into contact with the French Resistance. Soon they discover a secret Nazi project that threatens to end the war even before the Allies can invade Europe: Operation Kraken. Many real-world locations have been captured using photogrammetry to create a living, immersive environment, and multiple infiltration and extraction points and kill list targets offer a whole new perspective on each mission. Battle the Nazi plot alone or team up with a partner. Enhanced co-op allows you to share ammo and items, give each other orders and heal each other. Use ziplines, slide down slopes and shuffle over ledges to reach the perfect vantage point or sneak past a vigilant lookout. Take into account your gun's butt and barrel options, gravity, wind and heart rate as you set your sights on the target. Use workbenches to customize and upgrade virtually every aspect of your weapon - change scopes, flasks, barrels, magazines and more. Rifles, secondary weapons and pistols all have a huge variety of options. Plus, you can choose ammunition to suit your purpose, from armor-piercing to non-lethal. Invade another player's campaign as an Axis sniper and play a deadly cat-and-mouse game that adds a new dimension to the challenge as you pursue your prey. As Karl, you can also ask for assistance and have a second sniper come in to help you out of a tricky situation. Customize your character and equipment and earn XP, medals and ribbons in intensely competitive 16-player battles that put your sniper skills to the test. If you're more into co-op, you can team up with up to 3 other players against waves of enemies in Survival mode. More realistic and gruesome than ever is the signature X-ray kill cam, which shows you the true devastating power of each shot. Bones deflect bullets in unpredictable ways and work their way through enemy bodies. SMGs and pistols can also activate kill cams, including multiple shots in dramatic slow motion.
