An extra eye on things

The Philips Hue contact sensor consists of a sleekly designed sensor and magnet. You attach the sensor to the doorframe or window frame and the magnet to the door or window. You do this easily with the adhesive backing or screws. When the magnet and the sensor separate because the door or window is opened, the sensor is activated. Then you immediately receive a notification on your phone - even if you are far from home. So you know if something is going on at home. But above all, you have peace of mind if you don't get any notifications.

Never come home in the dark again

The Philips Hue contact sensor is not only for safety, but also for everyday use. You can set your lights to turn on as soon as the sensor is activated. And that's handy for rooms that are used a lot. For example, have the light in the hall turn on as soon as the front door is opened. That way you never have to grope for the light switch in the dark again. Automatically switching on your lighting can also serve as a light alarm: if the light goes on at night, unwanted guests will be scared off and you can immediately see what's going on.

Extensive possibilities

Via the handy Hue app on your smartphone, you set exactly which lights are switched on when which sensor is activated. You can even see in the app when a sensor was last activated and if anyone has done anything to it. The Philips Hue Bridge also gives you access to a range of smart home security features. This includes setting up light or sound notifications, automatic schedules for your smart lighting and the ability to expand your smart security or lighting system.
