Paper jams are avoided thanks to advanced paper protection features such as staple detection in documents and the intelligent multi-feed function, which understands when to stop for labels, post-its, or photos, and when not to.

Many different types of documents can be processed without hassle or interruption thanks to the two feeding paths: the classic U-shaped ADF (automatic document feeder) and the straight path that accepts documents up to 1.25 mm thick. And mixed batches are not a problem thanks to the automatic profile selection function.

The RICOH fi-8820 offers a complete package for high-volume scanning. The hardware comes with its own PaperStream software but can be flexibly deployed with any other capture application. This hardware is also optimized for use with the industry-leading PaperStream Capture Pro software. Differentiated service plans and consumables and spare parts at fixed costs offer predictable operating costs. Options for post-printing on the back and front are also available.
