What is a DAC chip?

The Phreeze USB C to 3.5 mm headphone adapter uses an advanced DAC (Digital Analog Converter) chip to achieve an audio output capacity of 24 bit/96 kHz, improve the signal-to-noise ratio, reduce the frequency range and the original sound quality. With the USB C to Aux headphone cable you can enjoy lossless, noise-free Hifi audio via headphones, Hifi home systems, car radios and soundbars.

Supports both a CTIA and OMTP plug

Now it may happen that you connect a headset to your smartphone or device and despite the fact that the jack connector fits in the jack you still experience problems. The reason for this is that your headset and adapter have different pinouts. Problems you may experience as a result of this is that the sound is very soft, that your interlocutor cannot understand you during a telephone conversation, or that you only hear a part of the signal. There are different pinout standards for the 3.5 mm jack plug. By pinout we mean the way in which the wires in the plug are connected. The two most common pinouts are CTIA and OMTP. With an incorrect pinout, the signal does not fully pass through to your device, so it is not displayed correctly.
