The Panasonic Lumix S 24-105mm F/4.0 Macro OIS is a versatile zoom lens with a focal length range from wide-angle to medium telephoto. The lens is suitable for many situations, from landscapes to portraits. The lens maintains a very sharp image across the entire zoom range.
You can also use the lens for macro shots, due to the 0.5x magnification factor and a minimum focusing distance of just 0.3 m. The lens features Optical Image Stabilizer (O.I.S.). This aligns well with the Body Image Stabilization system used in the LUMIX S1 and S1R. This combination of image stabilization ensures that the 5-axis Dual I.S. 2 technology compensates up to 6 stops. The lens unit consists of 16 elements in 13 groups and uses two aspherical lenses and two extra-low Dispersion elements to prevent chromatic aberration and produce highly detailed images.
