The Mio Smartbox IV is a small and smart device and provides the dashcam with power, even after the engine is turned off.
The biggest disadvantage of most recorders on the market is a built-in battery with a low capacity that provides a limited time of uninterrupted operation without extra power from the 12V or USB connection in the car.
The Mio MiVue Smartbox IV is connected directly to the electrical system of the car and bypasses the ignition. Even if you turn off the engine, your dashcam still gets power. It is perfect for all recorder users who want to take advantage of parking mode without staying in the car.
Parking mode is a unique feature of certain Mio MiVue dashcam models. It allows images to be recorded when movement of the car is detected, or in situations of sudden change of force (collision or vandalism). The parking mode starts recording based on the user's preferences (sensitivity level). This saves space on the memory card and the user only gets crucial recordings.
A prolonged load on the car's battery (especially in colder months) causes it to drain faster. Mio has found a solution to this problem.
The Mio MiVue Smartbox can be adapted to the electrical installation of both cars (12V) and trucks (24V). In addition, you can set the maximum usage time (off / 12 hours / 24 hours / unlimited), the car will start without problems, even after a whole night of stand-by.
Mio MiVue Smartbox is compatible with any device with a mini-USB or USB-C charging port. Thanks to the included USB-C adapter, the Smartbox can be used with all current and future products.
