The front of the helmet brim should be 1 to 2 finger widths above the root of the nose. You adjust the bike helmet by using the dial to loosen or tighten the internal ring inside the helmet. To test if the bicycle helmet is secure, you can shake your head slightly with the chin straps loose. If the helmet moves, adjust the adjustable ring slightly. When the helmet is securely on your head, attach the chinstraps. These should also be firmly fastened. When the buckles are closed and you open your mouth, the strap should press against the chin. It should not be possible to remove the bike helmet without loosening the chin straps.
