Hoya 37mm UV Prime-XS

Using a UV filter reduces haze, corrects blue and violet in color photos, and sharpens black-and-white photos. The multi-coating also reduces annoying reflections. A UV filter is recommended to protect multi-coated lenses from damage and to reduce UV light. Multi-coated UV filters are designed for outdoor, portrait, and "snapshot" photography. The UV filter has a filter factor of zero and does not affect exposure.

The Hoya UV Prime-XS is Hoya's line of filters with one of the best qualities. In the Prime-XS series, the glass is chemically hardened for extra strength, extra clear for more light transmission, and has an extra strong ring so the filter lasts longer.
