The Emmely lounge set has a frame made of aluminum. This aluminum is provided with a sturdy powder coating. The backrest has a beautiful finish with gray-colored rope. This rope is comparable to rope used in shipping. The rope has a rubber core inside with multiple polyester threads for strength. Around the rubber core is solution-dyed polyester rope. This means the rope is colored throughout and fades much less quickly. The armrests and the tabletop are made of Vironwood. This is a low-maintenance plastic with a beautiful wood appearance. To keep your Vironwood looking good, we recommend being careful with sharp objects and with spherical glassware (like wine glasses or vases) in direct sunlight. This can concentrate light and cause scorch marks. The solution-dyed polyester rope is easy to clean with a soft brush and the rope cleaner from Garden Impressions. After cleaning the rope thoroughly with the cleaner, rinse with plenty of water. When the rope is dry again, it should be treated again with a protector. The protector ensures that your rope is water-repellent again. It is advisable to do this at least twice per season, especially on the touchable parts. You should also ensure good ventilation under the cover to prevent mold formation. It is also recommended to create a slight slope in the cover so that water can run off.
