26.1 MP back-illuminated X-Trans 4 CMOS sensor:
The X-S20 features a back-illuminated X-Trans 4 CMOS sensor. With a resolution of 26.1 MP, the X-S20 captures your most extraordinary adventures and everyday moments thanks to a unique filter system that minimizes moiré and color fringing, allowing you to express your creative vision authentically. Back-illumination improves image quality while minimizing image noise.
Film Simulation:
The 19 Film Simulation modes of the X-S20 produce the analog look of classic photographic films that Fujifilm has been developing for over 85 years. Create the classic colors and tones that have made Fujifilm famous, or add an artistic touch to your images and write your own story.
Powerful battery in a compact body:
Battery life with NP-W235: 750 shots. The X-S20 won't let you down in the middle of your next adventure – battery capacity has more than doubled compared to the X-S10, from 325 to 750 shots. Need a battery that lasts all day? Switch the X-S20 to economy mode and extend battery life to up to 800 shots.
Subject detection autofocus:
The X-Processor 5 features a subject detection autofocus system developed with deep learning AI technology. In addition to outstanding AF tracking and detection of faces and eyes, the X-S20 now automatically detects and tracks a variety of subjects, including animals, birds, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, airplanes, trains, insects, and drones. This allows photographers to concentrate fully on composition and creativity, as the X-S20 ensures precise focusing.
Improved autofocus algorithm:
The X-S20 features an optimized autofocus prediction algorithm that ensures stable focus even with constantly moving subjects. Improvements are particularly noticeable in area autofocus and with low-contrast subjects.
7-stop IBIS:
The X-S20 enables comfortable handheld shooting, even in low light – perfect for spontaneous inspiration in the middle of the night. With the integrated 5-axis image stabilization, the X-S20 offers up to seven stops of image stabilization for blur-free photos and videos.
New Auto Mode:
The AUTO mode, in which the camera automatically recognizes and sets the optimal shooting parameters for the respective scene, now features automatic subject detection. When you select AUTO on the mode dial, the camera automatically detects and tracks the subject while maintaining focus. Subject detection settings no longer need to be adjusted, making filming even more convenient.
New Vlog Mode:
Ready for the perfect moment? Turn the X-S20's mode dial to the new Vlog position and conveniently change camera settings via the touchscreen during video recording.
Product Priority Mode:
Want to shoot a product or unboxing video? When Product Priority mode is activated, the focus automatically shifts from your face to the subject in front of you – like having a built-in assistant.
Background Defocus Mode:
Don't worry about the technical details. Activate Background Defocus mode to naturally highlight the background. Achieve a cinematic look with just one touch.
FUJIFILM XApp Support:
The X-S20 is compatible with the new FUJIFILM XApp, which expands your photography functions. Images from the camera can be wirelessly transferred and viewed on a smartphone. The X-S20 can also be remotely controlled via the app.
