BOYA BY-WM4-Pro-K1 Microphone

The WM4 Pro from Boya is an inexpensive transmitter set to record sound during presentations, interviews and conversations. The transmitter and receiver of the WM4 Pro are very compact and connect to each other on the 2.4 GHz frequency. You simply connect the receiver to your smartphone, (DSLR) camera, PC, laptop or MacBook. Both a 3.5 mm TRS and TRRS cable are included. For devices without a 3.5 mm input, a Lightning adapter and a USB-C adapter are available. These can be found in optional accessories.

Differences from the WM4

There are two versions of the WM4 Pro: the K1 and K2. Currently you are looking at the K1, which comes with one transmitter + lavalier microphone. With the K2, you will receive two transmitters and lavalier microphones. The WM4 Pro is the successor to the WM4 and features a higher signal-to-noise ratio, so you will hear less background noise. In addition, the WM4 Pro is more compact than the WM4.

Application WM4 Pro

If you are looking for a basic transmitter set for recording one or two voices, the WM4 Pro K1 and K2 are a good choice. Optionally, you can adjust the volume with the + and - button. Otherwise, you don't need to set anything and can get started right away. The included windshield reduces wind noise. With the clip you attach the microphone capsule to clothing. The range between the transmitter(s) and receiver is up to 60 meters.
