The FRITZ!Box 5690 pushes the boundaries. The premium model can be used on both the fiber optic connection and the DSL connection. Thanks to Wi-Fi 7, including the new 6 GHz band, the FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro impresses with improved latency, speed, and throughput, thus offering maximum performance in the home network. The integrated Zigbee wireless standard allows many smart applications in the areas of energy efficiency, heating, and lighting to be used. Gigabit LAN ports, a 2.5 Gbit LAN/WAN port, telephony, VPN, Wi-Fi guest access, firewall, and USB 3.1 for storage media complete the equipment. The FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro is the next level for demanding broadband applications and is ready for real-time applications such as virtual reality, cloud computing, and gaming.

Fiber optic and DSL in one FRITZ!Box – flexibility at the internet connection
The FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro offers full flexibility and works directly on the DSL connection or on the fiber optic connection. The new top model is suitable for common connections. Two SFP modules are included for the GPON and AON standards, and the FRITZ!Box has a 2.5 Gbit/s WAN port for use with an existing fiber optic modem. The FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro can also be used on all DSL connections with speeds up to 300 Mbit/s.

The new wireless generation Wi-Fi 7 – multigigabit Wi-Fi
The FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro brings Wi-Fi 7 with multigigabit speeds to the fiber optic or DSL connection. The 6 GHz band, with channels up to 320 MHz wide, provides very high throughput speeds in the Wi-Fi network. This combination of low latency and high throughput capacity enables powerful wireless communication, even for future real-time applications. Current applications also benefit from faster connections – even at greater distances and for many mobile devices. Connections are now even more robust with the built-in mechanisms in Wi-Fi 7, as areas that may experience interference are detected and then excluded from communication. This ensures even more stable conditions for wireless communication.

Triband and Mesh Wi-Fi – powerful with the new 6 GHz band
Via the three frequency bands 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and for the first time 6 GHz, the FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro can achieve high data transfer rates of around 18.5 Gbit/s. The FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro optimally benefits from these advantages of Wi-Fi 7 on the 5 and 6 GHz bands.
 

Smarthome hub with DECT and Zigbee devices
Via the FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro, Zigbee LED lamps and DECT ULE lamps from various manufacturers can be effortlessly integrated into the FRITZ!Box smarthome and controlled via an app. The integrated DECT base controls smarthome devices such as the FRITZ!DECT 302/301 radiator thermostat, the FRITZ!DECT 200/210 smart plugs, the FRITZ!DECT 440 switch, or the FRITZ!DECT 500 LED lamp. The integration of Matter, the new smarthome standard that uses IP, is in preparation. This allows smarthome apps from other manufacturers to centrally control the smart FRITZ! devices within their app.
