The alpina Smart home indoor motion sensor is an essential product for burglary protection. Burglars today often enter your home relatively quietly, but thanks to this modern motion detector, they cannot walk through the house unseen. The sensor has a detection range of 5 meters and a beam angle of 120 degrees. This allows it to easily pick up any form of movement. As soon as movement is detected, you will receive a notification on your smartphone. Make sure that you have connected the motion detector to the free-to-download alpina Smart home app.

NOTE: The motion sensor can only be used in combination with the Zigbee Gateway.

alpina Smart home app and easy installation

When the alpina Smart home motion sensor detects movement in its vicinity, it can send an alarm or push notification to your phone. This is done via the special alpina Smart home app, which you can download for Android and Apple from the Google Play Store and the App Store. To connect the motion detector to the alpina Smart home app, select the option 'add sub-device' in the app. Press and hold the reset button on the alarm for at least 5 seconds until the indicator light illuminates. Once the installation is complete, you can start using the motion sensor.

Detection up to 5 meters

The alpina Smart home motion sensor has a maximum detection range of no less than 5 meters. This means the motion detector can detect any form of movement up to a distance of 5 meters and a beam angle of 120 degrees. This ensures that no burglar or unwanted guest can walk through your home unnoticed. When the motion sensor detects movement, it sends an alarm to your smartphone via the alpina Smart home app.

Schedules and reminders

When you are home during the day, you naturally don't want to receive constant alarms from the motion sensor. This is often because you yourself are the one moving around the house. Therefore, with the alpina Smart home motion sensor, you can set schedules for when to switch the motion sensor on or off. To ensure the motion sensor turns on on time, you can also set a reminder. Both can be easily done in the alpina Smart home app.

Zigbee Gateway

Because the motion sensor cannot connect to your Wi-Fi network independently, you can only use the door sensor in combination with the Zigbee Gateway. Within the alpina Smart home line, various products can be connected to each other. This includes the window or door sensor, the climate sensor, the leakage alarm, and the vibration sensor. All of this is done via the separately purchasable Zigbee Gateway. With this Zigbee Gateway, you can connect up to 50 different alpina Smart home devices, allowing them to communicate with each other. The operation and settings of each device, including the Zigbee Gateway, can be managed with the alpina Smart home app.
