Smoke detector obligation from July 1, 2022

From July 1, 2022, it is mandatory in the Netherlands to have a smoke detector on every residential floor in your home and in enclosed spaces through which an escape route runs. The Building Decree will be amended, making it a legal obligation to comply. This applies to both owner-occupied and rental homes, and both existing and new construction.
