Phone battery life is often expressed in mAh. This stands for milliampere-hour and indicates how long a battery can run before it needs to be recharged. A battery with a capacity of 2,000 mAh can, for example, supply 1,000 milliamperes of power for 2 hours. In principle, the more mAh, the more powerful a smartphone battery is. We say ‘in principle’ because other factors also play a role in battery life, such as power-saving features and the power of the smartphone processor.
