MediaMarkt trade-in service

To use this service, you need to read the terms and conditions.

Some important – but not all – points are:

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You are the sole owner of the device.
• You must remove all passwords that may restrict access before sending the device.

Online Trade-In

1. Open the trade-in page in a web browser.
2. Search for your device in the product categories or manually enter the name.
3. Select the exact name of the device you want to sell.
4. Answer the questions about the condition of your device.
5. You will receive an offer for your old device.
6. After completing the sale, you will receive a shipping label via email.
7. Send the device with the shipping label to MediaMarkt's partner Foxway.
8. Wait for confirmation of the purchase and receive the purchase value as a gift card in your email."

The following devices can be traded in:

• Smartphones
• Tablets
• Smartwatches
• Windows laptops
• MacBooks
• iMacs
• Mac Mini and Mac Pro
• Chromebooks
• Gaming consoles

There are two factors that determine the trade-in value:

1. The trade-in value is a market value. This means that the value of your device can change daily. For example: the older your model is, the lower the trade-in value will be.
2. The condition of your old device also determines the value of the trade-in amount. This is assessed based on the following points, among others:
   • Your device must be functional.
   • Check whether the main features are still working.

Follow the steps below to disable 'Google Smart Lock':

1. Select 'Settings' on your Android device.
2. Go to 'Screen Lock and Security' (Android 8.0 version).
3. Scroll down and click on 'Other Security Settings.'
4. Go to the section 'Advanced' and select 'Trusted Agents', and turn off 'Smart Lock.'

If your Apple iPhone or iPad has iOS 17.3 or newer, you need to turn off device lock in advance; do this at home so you don’t have to wait long in one of our stores. Below, you can read how to do this via a web browser or on the device you want to trade in.

1. Go to iCloud.com via your web browser.
2. Navigate to 'Find My.'
3. Click on the device you are going to trade in.
4. Click on 'Remove This Device.'
5. A pop-up will appear with the message 'Cannot remove device. Preparing for repair or trade-in?'
6. Click on 'Continue.'
7. Done! iCloud will now indicate that iCloud lock is disabled.

Follow the steps below to disable 'Find My iPhone':

1. Select 'Settings' on your iPhone.
2. Tap your name.
3. Select 'Find My iPhone.'
4. Turn off 'Find My iPhone.'

You can find this information in the 'Settings' application on your smartphone under 'General' or 'Device Info'
