The WM55 from Vonyx is a super handy receiver and wireless microphone that allows you to quickly set up a complete wireless microphone system. The receiver has a 6.3mm jack plug and can be plugged into a microphone input on a speaker, mixer or amplifier. This allows you to use this microphone on your JBL speaker, for example.

Power comes from an internal rechargeable battery but can also be provided via USB. A large separate receiver and all kinds of cables are thus a thing of the past. The system operates on the UHF frequency band which ensures interference-free transmission of the signal. The WM55 is therefore ideal for temporary or mobile applications and can be used as a vocal, speech or karaoke microphone .

Handheld microphone

The WM55 comes with a handheld microphone with 10 selectable channels whose frequency can be read on the microphone's display. Indeed, if necessary, another frequency can be selected so that an interference-free transmission is always guaranteed. This is simply done by pressing a button on the microphone, the receiver then automatically switches to the new channel. The system can bridge a distance of about 30 - 50 meters maximum. The microphone runs on 2 AA batteries (not included).

Receiver

Unlike many other wireless microphone systems, the WM55's receiver is a plug-in receiver that plugs directly into a 6.3mm jack microphone jack. Because the receiver has a built-in battery, the WM55 is perfect for mobile applications where no power outlet is available. Should the battery be (almost) empty, a power bank for phones could also supply the receiver with power. Charging of the built-in battery is done via a standard USB connection of, for example, a computer or laptop. The USB charger of, for example, a phone or tablet can also be used for this purpose.
