Verbatim SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity, SD 2.0) cards are designed for use in compatible digital cameras, portable music players, camcorders, smartphones, PCs, and other consumer devices. SDHC cards use the FAT32 file system, a specification specifically designed for applications requiring higher capacity, and are particularly suitable for high-quality video.

Due to the increase in the use of High-Definition video, high-resolution digital photography, and mobile applications, the demand for higher storage capacities and data transfer speeds has increased. With this in mind, SDHC cards guarantee a minimum data transfer speed that can be maintained, not a peak speed.

Verbatim SDHC cards fully comply with all applicable SD standards. They can be equipped with write protection to prevent accidental deletion. SDHC cards have the same physical format as SD cards but cannot be used in SD host devices that do not comply with version 2.0 of the SDA specifications.

Speed Class:
The speed class is the official speed designation for SD cards, established by the SD Association. The value represents the minimum write speed based on "the most favorable fragmented state, without a memory unit being occupied" in steps of 8 Mbit/s.

Class 10: guaranteed minimum data transfer speed of 80 Mbit/s (10 MByte/s).
