Daisy Chains are perfect for connecting many devices to one port, but if you remove a device other than the last one, you have to laboriously disconnect and reconnect the devices. With the OWC Thunderbolt docking station, you can create three separate device chains with "branches," so you can remove devices from one chain without affecting or disconnecting the others. You can even add three Thunderbolt bus-powered devices.

Connecting multiple bus-powered Thunderbolt drives:

In the past, you had to place external Thunderbolt storage devices at the top of the chain when you daisy-chained them to get fast and reliable performance.
