Do I need HDMI 2.1?

If you occasionally watch a movie, play games or just want to watch TV, then the upgrade to HDMI 2.1 is highly desirable and you are also future-proof! At the announcement of HDMI 2.1, the emphasis was mainly on the higher bandwidth of the new version. This increases from 18 Gbps (HDMI2.0) to 48 Gbps (HDMI2.1). Is HDMI 2.1 needed for PS5?
