The Power Dynamics PDM660 is a condenser handheld microphone. This means that it does not work on every microphone jack. In fact, the microphone jack must provide a 48V voltage (phantom power) for this wired microphone to work. However, the advantage of a condenser microphone is that it is more sensitive and thus picks up sound more easily. It is therefore ideal for recording speech, vocals and possibly instruments. Both the PDM660 and the supplied cable are made of high-quality components. A very tight (professional!) recording of the sound is therefore a certainty with this microphone.
