An environmentally friendly, modern energy source, the maintenance-free battery. Lead has been recovered from used batteries (recycled) for decades. The highly absorbent microporous separator of the maintenance-free FG lead-acid battery binds a maximum amount of pure electrolyte and permanently isolates the electrodes from each other. This means that the battery can be used in any position, even upside down, without loss of capacity. The electrodes consist of a special antimony-free lead alloy. This results in a very low self-discharge rate of less than 3% per month. The robust housing material is an impact- and fracture-resistant, corrosion- and aging-resistant ABS plastic. FG lead-acid batteries are deep-discharge safe and can be recharged after deep discharge. In principle, however, you should charge immediately after discharge. Accumulators of the same capacity can be connected in series and parallel without dividing the charge, but they should always come from the same batch.
