Our experts recommend descaling at least once a year. Water filters significantly reduce limescale buildup but cannot stop all of it. This applies not only to Eccellente filters but also to original Philips water filters or filters from other brands. This filter cartridge set now comes with Eccellente Descaler for Philips Saeco, based on lactic acid. One 100ml bottle is sufficient for one descaling treatment. The Eccellente descaler is comparable to Philips CA6700, CA6700/00 & CA6700/10 descaler. However, Eccellente descaler is more concentrated, requiring only 100ml for a complete descaling cycle. This removes all remaining limescale from the pipes of your Philips or Saeco coffee machine in one descaling cycle. This descaler is tough on limescale and gentle on your machine.
