You will receive a notification upon movement. By setting activity zones, you prevent unnecessary motion alerts. For example, exclude motion notification for parts of the camera's field of view with trees or bushes that can move in the wind, or parts with traffic. You might not want to receive a notification for these every time.

Even in the dark, you can feel safe with the Alecto DVC126IP, because the Wifi camera also has infrared lighting, giving you night vision up to 6 meters. You don't have to worry about missed activity, as camera images are recorded upon movement on a Micro SD card (not included), so you can review them later.
