Prevent a dead battery with this intelligent battery charger from Dunlop. It charges in 6 steps. With a charger like this, you can bring lead-acid, AGM, or gel batteries up to standard. Handy for the battery of your car, motorcycle, boat, or van that you want to get through the winter or that you want to charge now and then. The charger works best as a maintenance charger for smaller batteries.

Charging a battery is done in 6 steps:

Indicator lights and protection

The charger indicates the status via lights. For example, the battery charger has an indicator light for reverse polarity/incorrect connections. A yellow light shows if it is charging ('charging'), a green one if it is full ('full'), and a red light indicates that it detects an error ('fault'). The battery charger will display an error message if one of the following 3 conditions occurs:

• Low battery voltage – < 3 V (6 V battery); < 8 V (12 V battery)
  
• High battery voltage – > 15 V (12 V battery); < 7.5 V (6 V battery)
• Battery or battery cell has a short circuit.

It will then stop charging immediately.
