A new year means a new football game from EA. For a few years now, you've recognized FIFA games under the name EA Sports FC, and the latest edition is just around the corner. The newest edition in the EA Sports FC series is ready for you. The footie series releases a new edition each year. This year, too, comes EA Sports FC 26, where the more than 750 clubs and national teams have been completely refreshed and prepared for the new football season. You can now run around the virtual pitches to your heart's content in a variety of modes. Of course, Football Ultimate Team is also back, where you can participate in Tournaments and Live Events, or the new second-tier weekend competition: EA Sports FC 26 Challengers.

EA Sports FC 26 promises significant gameplay improvements, such as smarter AI that positions itself better on the field and in goal. Dribbling is also more responsive, there's faster passing, and you have more control over the players. In this way, the game responds to feedback from players on previous games. As a result, you now even have 2 presets focused on a competitive or authentic experience. The latter is more faithful to the world's most beloved sport, while the other offers more direct control over the players.

What’s in the Ultimate Edition of EA Sports FC 26?

Besides the regular edition, there's also an EA Sports FC 26 Ultimate Edition, which includes even more. The game comes with 6,000 FC Points, distributed over 2 months. For the Nintendo Switch version, the total is 4,500 FC Points. You'll also get 7 days of early access with the EA Sports FC 26 Ultimate Edition. Pre-orders placed before 26thof August 2025, will also receive one of the 15 (non-tradable) ICONs for Ultimate Team and a FUT Player Evolution card for EA Sports FC 25. These can then be used immediately for the already-released edition.

The duo has shone at the highest level in recent years and are therefore among the greatest talents in modern football. However, another former footballer also appears on the cover of EA Sports FC 26: Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swedish footballer retired in 2023 but appears on the cover of the EA Sports FC 26 Ultimate Edition. During his career, he played for clubs such as Ajax, FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, and Inter Milan.

EA Sports FC 26 releases on 26th of September 2025. Order the game at MediaMarkt and you can start building your Ultimate Team and winning the Champions League with your favourite team with the new footie from that day on. There is also an Ultimate Edition of EA Sports FC 26, which gives you early access to the game. Then you can play from 19th of September. The game will be released on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
